15 Celebrities Who Removed Or Covered Up A Tattoo They Got For Their Ex

Jordin Sparks sang, “Just like a tattoo, I’ll always have you” — but that’s not always true when it comes to celebrity relationships. A lot of Hollywood couples who commemorated their relationship by getting inked find themselves in the laser-removal chair after the breakup.

Here are 15 celebs who removed or covered up a tattoo they got for their ex:

1. Justin Bieber covered up a portrait of his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

2. During his engagement to Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson got a tattoo of the phrase “mille tendresse” (French for “a thousand tendernesses”) to match Ariana’s, but after their breakup, he covered it with the word “cursed.”

3. Similarly, Ariana covered up a foot tattoo she had showing the firefighter badge number of Pete’s late father with “Myron,” the name of her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s dog.

4. Amber Rose covered up a portrait of her ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa, with one of Slash.

5. Travis Barker covered up his ex-wife Shanna Moakler’s name with two tattoos: a scorpion and his now-wife Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s lips.

6. Angelina Jolie covered up her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton’s name with the birthplace coordinates of her children and her then-partner, Brad Pitt.
